adventures in canned food!

My cousin Brian is in town, and we went to check out Canstruction last week at the Design Center (200 Lexington Avenue at 32nd Street). If you have an extra can of food (that's the cost of admission) grab it, and hop on over to the Design Center. I never thought you could do this kind of stuff with food!
A few samples:
Pretty canny, sis! (I think the game pieces were made out of Goya seasoning)
Lots and lots of canned salmon and green beans
The red part of the apple actually was canned sardines!
The little lunar lander was made out of a can of beans!
Oops. Please do not touch.

And one of the coolest (my other favorite was a dripping faucet, but I seem to have misplaced the photo at the moment):

the chopsticks were made out of pasta, the serving tray out of tubs of brown rice, and lots of fruit cups found their way in!

There are a lot more, and they're really fun to explore. I thoroughly recommend checking it out if you have a spare hour!
