Thank you so much for sending the canoe race my way. Man, it was boring as all get out, but if I hadn't gone, I wouldn't have caught up with a friend from my improv group in college, and had a really great afternoon in the sun.

p.s. HOWEVER, I haven't quite gotten your point in giving me those guys on the beach who said (and I'm quoting) "the Japanese are an inferior race, because of their morals. And it's genetic." Seriously, Universe, WTF? And did they have to say it loud enough to incense me so much I had to leave the beach? And did they have to say it in front of their kids? I was seriously tempted to tell them I was Japanese. Not that they'd buy it, because I'm so SUPER-SWEDISH, but really. Universe, can we work on this??
